nicely said, ryg. so short and simple yet so revealing. i guess i have to agree on everything you said except in the latter part. this is not to argue but just to give my point.the reason why we are like these is just the same reason as there are straight men or women (or lesbian).the answer to the title is not much of a choice but more of an acceptance.the dilemma arises when we need to make a choice because of our family and the people around us.

Dude - I have to agree with the others on this about your looks. The first time I saw your photo I thought to myself "wow, who knew he was so good looking!?"

I really liked this post. I was in love with a man who was struggling with his feelings toward other men. He said some of the very things that you have said here, about feeling like less of a guy. He was always looking for approval from males. But on the other hand he found women attractive. I encouraged him to follow his strongest desire or to at least FIND OUT if he was gay instead of tormenting himself constantly. He could not accept it. He gave me a book to read on what it would be like for me to be involved with a man that was not sure of his sexuality. It was very interesting.

rygel, this concept is something new to me. i have a very close friend who is gay and we discussed thoroughly how she turned out to be what she is, and this idea never came up.

i could argue this concept because i agree with the previous comments, but i will not because you are your own person and you have your own reasons. that said, i wonder what those supermodel looking hot gay men's reasons for being who they are. them being more handsome and hunky than you :)
